Welcome Everyone From the Graham "Mailing List"!

Feel free to post a comment or anything like that.

I've never done this before, so I'll just go with the flow.

I figure I might as well get things started.

From the email list:

1) Someone needs to start a "MICHAEL GRAHAM SUPPORT GROUP MESSAGE BOARD"
- or something like that - soon. There are too many e-mails from fans
coming in that I cannot keep up with all of them. Maybe Jeff or Aaron
can help with this request.

I'm not Jeff or Aaron, but I hope this helps until they do something.

2) Do any of you think the ACLU will step up and help Michael defend
his First Amendment rights?

Nope, all their lawyers are busy down in GITMO defend those poor peoples civil rights.

The free speech angle - is it really the issue? Nope - businesses do what they think is profitable - that is their right.

The issue?

The Holy War.

IMO this what drives the entire middle eastern conflict - it's the crusades all over again.

Shhhhhhhhsh! You can't say that though. No disparaging words are permitted when there are ethnic or (non-christian) religious considerations germane to the dialogue.

Where is the Muslim outrage?

I fear they know Muslims better than US residents know Muslims and THAT is why they keep silent.

There are many faces of Islam.

If reasonable Muslims want to be considered as anti-terror and pro-American policy - they really need to stand up and shout their position.

Sadly, if they do - I suspect they may become the next target for Muslim extremists. Few situations anger a fringe element like a perceived traitor within their ranks. This is why we have not seen an "overwhelming show of force" condeming the 9/11 attacks from Muslims anywhere.

No, you're right, it's not an issue. My comment about ACLU in GITMO was about how that they're willing to defend non-rights to non-citizens, but unwilling to defend non-rights of citizens.

Basiclly, they can defend non-Americans, but won't touch Americans.

The Crusades are a excuse, camoflouge. If it was about the Holy Wars, there would be terrorist attacks against the Vatican and all over Europe. Instead, most of the terrorist hate and outrage is directed at America.

They hate America, they can't stand the fact that we are so powerful and they don't know (or don't want to know) how we got this way.

In my opinion this is a hollow arguement. (It may have some truth to it, but I don't think that the majority feel this way)

I have to believe that the Muslims in this country would have more faith in the rule of law then they think that some HAMAS sympathisers will pull them out of their house at night and cut their head off.

Of course, I could be wrong, but I hope that most Muslims don't think that regular Americans would stand around and just let them be killed for expressing their opinion.
