Charles over at Little Green Footballs has pictures from one of the recent peace thingys in Los Angelos and this picture speaks volumes to me.

Look at the guy holding the white sign with light blue lettering. Read what it says and then look at the guys arm.

Does the arm look black to you? No, it's white. White people have been demonised for decades about the "sensitive usage" of that word, (and it's many, many derivitives) so why is the black guy next to him not saying anything about it? It could be that he doesn't see it or that he's busy, but someone, somewhere must have seen this sign.

If it's not okay for a regular white person to use that word, why is it okay for a crazed moonbat to use it?

It seems like Roberts is going to sail clear into the Supreme Court as not only a Justice, but as the Chief Justice.

Bush did the smart thing here, he picked the guy with no dirt on him! When the Dim's started digging, they made themselves look foolish. I hope Roberts doesn't get loney, he's the only one in that town who doesn't have any political dirt on him...

Whew, What a Long Strange Month Its Been

What a sad day in American history. The most horrific natural disastor in the history of the Gulf Coast and some people can't even wait for the flood waters to go down before they start calling for the resignations of the very people who can still save human lives.

But who are we kidding? The modern Democratic Party doesn't care about human lives - they're too busy worrying about the Redwoods of California or the fate of Saddam, the Butcher of Baghdad.

Bush is going to get jumped - ghettostyle. I'm not talking about "Gimmee your money and no one gets hurt", no this will be bigger. Dim's have been working themselves in a lather for too long for something like this not to happen. No, this will be a straight kick to the balls, an in-your-face Tobey Keith "How Do You Like Me Now?!?" type gig.

And you know what the sad thing is?

Bush can't do a damned thing about it.

Anybody out there wonder how McCartheyism, Reaganomics and Trickle-Down Theory got the way they are? Here's a real life look, broadcast 24/7 by the halfwits who stay out in a hurricane and "report", (Yes, yes! There is some serious rain coming down now! And the wind, the wind is picking up!) it all back to us.

Bush is going to get jumped, bad. Will he go down like Nixion or will he soar like Reagan? Time will tell, but in the next decades if someone wants to see what the future parties will look like, think back to this. Bush may go down, but the Republicans, (With a Capital "R"!) he leaves behind will stay here and hold the fort.

New Japanese Textbook Draws Fire

Tokyo's school board has adopted a new high school textbook that has some people upset:

TOKYO (Reuters) - Tokyo's education board adopted on Thursday a history textbook that critics say whitewashes past Japanese militarism for use at 26 junior high schools in the capital, a decision that could anger China and South Korea. Japan's Education Ministry in April approved a new edition of the textbook, written by nationalist scholars, sparking protests from China and South Korea where bitter memories of Japan's aggression before and during World War II persist.

Critics say the history textbook, sponsored by the Japanese Society for History Textbook Reform (Tsukurukai), plays down the 1937 Nanjing Massacre in China, ignores the sexual enslavement of women for Japanese soldiers and depicts Japanese wartime actions as aimed at liberating other Asian countries.

I agreed with everything this said until it came to this part:

Opponents of the textbook are worried that given the rise of what some see as nationalism in certain quarters of Japanese society, many state schools may adopt the textbook.

Why is it that they are afraid of the Japanese having "nationalism in certain quarters"? Are the Japanese afraid of themselves? Whats going on here?

Semi-Breaking News: IRA to End "Armed Campaign"

This is extremely good news from Ireland:

The Irish Republican Army renounced violence as a political weapon Thursday and said it will resume disarmament, taking a dramatic step designed to revive Northern Ireland peace efforts after a 35-year conflict that killed and maimed thousands.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair called the move "a step of unparalleled magnitude," while Prime Minister Bertie Ahern of Ireland said it heralded "the end of the IRA as a paramilitary organization." The White House also welcomed the announcement.

The only problem now is that the IRA has a history of not fulfilling its promises on disarming or true peace agreements.

Gamemaker Sued Over Hidden "Sex" in GTA- San Andreas

"NEW YORK - A woman upset that she bought the video game "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" for her 14-year-old grandson without knowing it contained hidden, sexually explicit scenes sued the manufacturer Wednesday on behalf of consumers nationwide.

Florence Cohen, 85, of New York, said in the lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan that the games manufacturer, Rockstar Games, and its parent company, New York-based Take Two Interactive Software Inc., engaged in false, misleading and deceptive practices.

She sought unspecified damages on behalf of herself and all consumers nationwide, saying the company should give up its profits from the game for what amounted to false advertising, consumer deception and unfair business practices."

Lets see, some grandma buys her 14 year old grandson a Grand Theft Auto video game. She sees the controversy and thinks "$$$$$".

I also like the "engaged in false, misleading and deceptive pratices" part.

She bought a game named after a FELONY for petes sake! What did she expect, Barney dancing with the oompa-lumpa's?

A short overview of what she bought (for her 14 year old grandson):

Grand Theft Auto is a game that gives the player's character points (in the form of cash, which can be spent in a variety of ways) for killing people, stealing cars (hence, Grand Theft Auto), doing jobs for gangs and contains lots of violence and some sexual scenes. What has everyone freaked out about this specific addition to the GTA series is that apparently a part of the game code contained a fragment that the development team thought was removed. When a specific "patch" was downloaded from the Internet, a scene of the player's character having sex with his girlfriend was unlocked and viewable.

Due to this fragment, the rating by the ESOB was changed from the original "M" for "Mature" to "AO" for "Adults Only". Most large chain stores (Walmart, Best Buy, Kmart etc) refuse to stock games rated "AO", so to avoid losing the money from not being able to sell their game, Rockstar and Take2 (the makers of the GTA series) are shipping new "sanitized" versions of GTA: San Andreas and have apologized for not finding the fragment of code.

But watch and see, if this case goes through you'll see more "lawsuits on the behalf of consumers everywhere". How many lawsuits can Rockstar and Take2 take? If they go under, it'll send a signal to everyone in the video game industry that you have to abide by granny's standards.

Protestors and Dissenters Arrested and Thrown In Jail

Breaking News!!! ANSWER, ACLU and MoveOn.org leaders where arrested recently because they planned to demonstrate at the French Embassy because Chirac hasn't been tough enough on the Iraq War!

Oh... no... wait a minute... that only happens in Communist countries... the very kind of government that they advocate as the solution to all our problems...

The real story? Fidel Castro arrested Cuban dissenters because they planned on demonstrating at the French Embassy.

Opposition figures in Cuba say at least 20 Cuban dissidents have been detained as part of a crackdown against the country's political opposition.

They are said to include the three main organizers of a public meeting of dissidents which took place in May.

The Cuban government has not confirmed the arrests.

The majority of those dissidents that are currently in custody were intending to take part in a protest outside the French embassy.

Why where they planning on protesting the French? Because the French government was going to soft on Castro.

Even the Cubans know that Communism isn't the answer, why doesn't Hillary know?

More London Bombs, A Man Shot On The Subway

London was the victim of more terrorist bombs and a man was shot by British police. The first thing that is surprising about this story is the fact that British police had weapons with them. Most of the time, British police the street unarmed with little more then a baton to protect them.

So either this is a radical change in British police tactics (which is completely possible) or (somewhat more likely to me) the police who chased the guy after he jumped the turnstiles where not your average, garden-variety constable. Even if the cops who shot the man where regular policemen, this is (as the Brits would put it) highly unusual.

Consider these facts and draw your own conclusions:

1. British policemen are rarely, if ever, armed. This time however, they had handguns.

2. British police being armed could be placed at the foot of recent terrorist activity, but not only where the British uniformed policemen armed, the undercover policemen where armed as well*.

3. Not only where the undercover policemen armed, but they where inside the subway and they fired inside the subway as well*.

My conclusion? The Brits had something they where preparing against, a third attack maybe? In any case, its one terrorist down. To any Brit cop out there, well done and if I had a spot of tea, I'd share.

* I am not an expert on British undercover police methods. I am drawing my conclusions based on what I know or have read about British policemen, so I may be wrong.

Police Say Man Gunned Down Not Tied To Bombers

LONDON, July 23 - Scotland Yard admitted Saturday that a man police officers gunned down at point-blank range in front of horrified subway passengers on Friday had nothing to do with the investigation into the bombing attacks here.

The man was identified by police as Jean Charles de Menezes, a 27-year-old Brazilian, described by officers as an electrician on his way to work. "He was not connected to incidents in central London on 21st July, 2005, in which four explosive devices were partly detonated," a police statement said.

The article mentions that the man spoke perfect English, so unless the police never said "Halt" or "Stop" why didn't he stop?

And why was he running in the London subway with a bulky jacket on in the middle of summer?

Also, why did he jump the turnstile?

Hopefully, these questions will be answered by the Scotland Yard investigation.

I was just listening to my local PBS show after the confirmation speech and they have two women on there, one a lib "He isn't on the side of female reproduction rights" and a conservative.

The lib started talking about Roberts "Lack of a paper trail" and the conservative lady said something that shocked me, she said (to the other lady!) that she only would have been satisfied with a canidate that agreed with her and that she shouldn't use a litmus test about a Supreme Court nominee!

Amazing, this is the first time I've heard a lib on TV getting smacked down!

If this is the new conservative then yes! Its about time!

President Bush has chosen federal appeals court judge John Roberts, 50, as his nominee to the Supreme Court...

Well it seems that the right-side of the bloggers seem to like this guy. Drudge has a big "ABORTION WAR" on his site.

I was expecting Bush to do something soon about abortion. His base has been demanding Roe v. Wade overturned ever since 2000. Bush has got to know that the Dem's will lock this guy up for the next thousand years so it looks like Bush finally grew a spine.

Too bad its on this issue.

The American people support Roe v. Wade and they don't want it changed. If Bush and all Republicans don't want to get bit (Hello? Yes, this is 2008 and my good buddy 2006 calling) hard on this subject, we will all have to proceed very, very delicately on this topic. Smash mouth politics won't work here.

At lest, I don't think it will, maybe I'll be surprised.

Without further ado, here is my "Why?" post. In which that I answer all questions that I can think that anyone might ask about this blog.

Y'all better like it too, or else I might take a page out of Frank J.'s book. (No, not the girlfriend part, the last part...)

I've gotten sidetracked. Here's the d@mned post...

Why are you a blogger?

If you have a blog does that automatically make you a blogger? I hope so, because if not I messed up this dudes survey.

Anyway, I write on this blog to illustrate my points about why that Republicans are better then Democrats.*

*Not in every case as you will see later.

Why is this blog called "Almost A Democrat"?

Because it explains me in so many ways. And since this is my blog, it should reflect me. (There is a co-contributor, but for some reason he just leaves comments instead of posts)

I was almost a democrat. By that I mean that I could have become a democrat. I'm young, white, D.C. area, male. I'm not a Christian. I don't think GTA is the work of the devil and I don't burn books because they're "Harry Potter" books.

But back almost 4 years ago (I was 13, prime time for the dims to come and gotten me) something happened.

As many of you do also, I remember exactly where I was when I first heard about it and where I was when I saw the first images. I remember a lot about that day and I hope I never forget any of it.

The day that happened, the President came on the T.V. and said we would find out who did it and bring them to justice. When we found out who did it and where they where we went out to get them.

And the Democrats began complaining. They complained about every, possible, thing. I'm serious, they complained about how we shouldn't get involved, how we don't know what we're doing, etc.

I said on many an occasion, yes we know what we're doing. Its called payback, 3,000+ style.

Why did you start this blog?

Because I wanted to become cool like Frank J., John Hawkins, Matt Drudge, and Charles Johnson.

Or even a God such as, dare I invoke his name?, Glenn Reynolds.

A part of it is also the fact that I want to become President someday and I don't want people to be all like "Who is this guy?" or say "He's a faker!" or any such thing. Thus, my blog. This will (maybe) be a record to my early political years.

That plus the 2004 election made me more political then ever. So, viola! A political blog.

Isn't The Drudge Report a news site?

Yes, but does that make him less cool?

Isn't Frank J. a humorist?

Yes, but if I say lots of nice things about him maybe he'll tell me what "IMAO" means. That plus he frickin' hilarious! You ever read his "In My World"'s? Very funny stuff!

Why do you slant Conservative?

I most certainly do not, thank you very much. I am not a "Conservative" and I hope I never become one. I am a Republican. Yes, there is a difference. But that's a topic for a different post...

For example, I'm a Republican because of Bush. I'm not a Conservative because of Billy Graham.

Muslim Man Killed In UK

A Muslim man was killed in Britain over what the police think to be a hate crime. They are asking for witnesses and promise to prosecute the persons responsible for it.

Which is all well and good, but its not enough for the Muslim community. They want it labeled an "Islamophobic hate crime".

Bonus question for today; what's the difference between an Islamophobic hate crime and a regular hate crime? Answer: Islamophobic hate crimes look better in the statistics of ANSWER and the U.N.

I was slightly interested in this part of the Guardian report:

Muslim leaders last night said the killing and the fact that it was Islamophobic would heighten anxiety in their communities, which was already high before the London bombings and which has deepened with every report of attacks.

So... The question is why was anxiety high in a pre-bombing British Muslim community? What are they so afraid of? This isn't the Taliban where you get your head chopped off if you say the wrong thing, why are they afraid?

Also, this part interested me a little:

Mr Ali added that the murder would stoke fears among Britain's 1.6 million Muslims: "This has sent shivers down the community.

So let me get this straight...

1 person out of 1.6 million people are murdered and "it sends shivers down the community".

3,000+ people are murdered out of 300 million people and we are urged by the same people who have links to the murderers "(T)o avoid war as a response to the terrorist attacks against the World Trade Center and the Pentagon"

Love the double standard here...

P.S. I've been reading the site that I quoted in "avoid war as a response" and I could write about 5 posts about what this ingnorant site has to offer. Maybe I will, maybe I won't...

Blair and his position in Europe: A In-Depth Look

Europe has gotten away with a lot and now it's coming back to bite them in the butt. They recognize that Blair has the ability to kill their EU Constitution, Blair heads one of the only European economies that isn't in the... well I'll let you come up with the appropriate allegory, Blair has close ties (closer then all other European leaders, in fact) to Washington. You know, the place that gives European's money when they need it?

They know that Blair can kill what they want to live, they know he isn't going anywhere as long as his economy stays high; they know that he has a close relationship with the strongest, richest, most powerful country in the history of the world.

And what do you think they do to get Blair to see things their way, to get what they want?

They start making demands of him! They want Great Britain to give up its annual rebate from the EU! What is wrong with this picture? Someone has something you want and has the power to keep you from getting it so you start demanding him make an extremely unpopular political move?

Have they forgotten how to treat people that are more powerful then them? (Of course that's a rhetorical question, just look at how they treat America)

If someone has something you want and they can easily keep you from getting it, you try to wheedle it out of them, you ask politely if you can have it because they don't seem to be using it, if they say "Jump" then you say "How high?". You grovel, you beg, you plead, but you don't insult them, demand things of them and then expect them to give it to you!

I suppose the question isn't "Have they forgotten?", but when did they forget and why?

Europe has been so safe, secure, peaceful, quiet, inviting and just plain tranquil that they have forgotten a time when heads of state really did demand things and if they didn't get them they invaded your country, killed your people, beheaded you and then took your kingdom.

Heck, there has been wars fought over less then this and they make it seem like, "Oh yeah, we want this and this and oh why not? Toss in that as well."

There was a good quote (Isn't there always?) that covered this territory, "Never give an ultimatum if you can't afford to lose."

With Germany's and France's unemployment rates heading to (Or surpassing!) 15%, can France and German afford to lose more?

House Passes Bill to Slash Funds to U.N.

United Nations, the House voted Friday to slash U.S. contributions to the world body if it does not substantially change the way it operates.

It is finally happened. The government has finally listened to the wishes of its people. Americans do not agree with the U.N. when it put Cuba on the Human Rights Commission, Americans do not agree with the U.N.'s anti-Americanism, Americans do not agree with U.N.'s anti-Israel, and Americans do not agree with Kofi giving away business contracts to his son who benefits from a murderous dictator's sleazy operations.

"We have had enough waivers, enough resolutions, enough statements," said House International Relations Committee Chairman Henry Hyde, R-Ill., the author of the legislation. "It's time we had some teeth in reform."

The legislation would withhold half of U.S. dues to the U.N.'s general budget if the organization did not meet a list of demands for change. Failure to comply would also result in U.S. refusal to support expanded and new peacekeeping missions. The bill's prospects in the Senate are uncertain.

New Book About Clintons Alledges Bill Raped Hillary

I am a bit... ambivalent about this claim and book.

Its not so much the fact that I haven't read it and that I only have Bill's past actions to reflect on, but (yes, there is a but) we do not know if its true. And as far as I know there hasn't been any other person to corroborate any allegations that are made.

Does this sound like something "Slick Willy" would do? I don't know, ask Monica. But just because a story sounds like something the person would do, that doesn't automaticly mean that they did it.

Until more is know (and more proof is provided) I won't comment (any more then I already have) on this.

Now that TIME has gotten their hands on a log that wasn't supposed to leave the base they have splashed it on their website. Now we will see if the Torture At Gitmo hysteria is worth.

Lets see what we can find, shall we?

"0225: The detainee arrives at the interrogation booth a Camp X-Ray. His hood is removed and he is bolted to the floor. SGT A and SGT R are the interrogators. A DoD linguist and MAJ L (BSCT) are present

0235: Session begins. The detainee refuses to look at SGT A "due to his religion. This is a rapport building session.

0240:Detainee states he's on hunger strike. SGT A explains the affects of a hunger strike on the body. SGT A runs "love of brothers in Cuba" approach. "

Sure sounds like torture right? Well lets read on...

"0320: The detainee refused to answer whether he wanted water. SGT R explained with emphasis that not answering disrespects SGT A and embarrasses him. The detainee said no, he didn't want water. The detainee continues to say he's on hunger strike.

0345: The detainee dozed off during a break. SGT R woke him up.

0355: SGT R wakes up detainee again. "

TORTURE!!!! How dare a guard wake up a prisoner?!?! Lets read on somemore and see what we find:

"0450: Interrogators take a break. Detainee goes to the bathroom

0520: Interrogations resumes. The detainee refuses food and water.

0540: SGT A begins 9/11 theme. The detainee asks to pray and is refused.

0550: Detainee drinks __ bottle of water and states after this he is on strike, he refuses food. "

Yeah this sure sounds like torture to me. How dare them try to get him to drink water and answer a question? Lets read on:

"1115: Interrogators began telling detainee how ungrateful and grumpy he was. In order to escalate the detainee's emotions, a mask was made from an MRE box with a smily face on it and placed on the detainee's head for a few moments. A latex glove was inflated and labeled the "sissy slap" glove. The glove was touched to the detainee's face periodically after explaining the terminology to him. The mask was placed back on the detainee's head. While wearing the mask, the team began dance instruction with the detainee. The detainee became agitated and began shouting."

Didn't the guards know? He wanted to do the Mamba, not the Waltz! Lets keep reading:

"1115: Detainee offered water, refused. Corpsman changed ankle bandages to prevent chafing. Interrogater began by reminding the detainee about the lessons in respect and how the detainee had disrespected the interrogators. Told detainee that a dog is held in higher esteem because dogs know right from wrong and know how to protect innocent people from bad people [Good Point!- M.J.]. Began teaching the detainee lessons such as stay, come, and bark to elevate his social status up to that of a dog. Detainee became very agitated."

I'm sorry Glen Reynolds (Instapundit), but that deserves a "Heh" if anything does! Reading is fundamential so lets keep doing it:

"2223: As I began to inform the detainee of the changes the Saudi government has been making in order to support the efforts of peace and terror free world I began to engage closeness with the detainee [I really, really hope that this was a woman interigator. If not GITMO may have more wrong with it then the libs give it credit for!- M.J.]. This really evoked strong emotions within the detainee. He attempted to move away from me by all means. He was laid out on the floor so I straddled him without putting my weight on him. He would then attempt to move me off of him by bending his legs in order to lift me off but this failed because the MPs were holding his legs down with their hands. The detainee began to pray loudly but this did not stop me from finishing informing the detainee about the Al Qaeda member, Qaed Salim Sinan al Harethi aka Abu Ali, that was killed by the CIA."

Can I go to GITMO? Please, please, please! So long as the womans good looking of course...

Conculsion?

Not torture, not even close. Most guys would give their... ahem... to be in that position. Please, as if, not even close to torture.

But you watch and see. The Democrats will be all over this like ugly on Kerrys college picture.

Liberals kill what they don't understand (Part 3)

(I broke the other two posts up so I might as well do it again.)

Finally we get to a topic that liberals don't understand that can effect everyone of us for a long, long time.

Or a very short time if you live in a place that is considered a terrorist target.

The War on Terrorism is something that should be so simple that a child can understand it, but liberals seem determined to prove that no, they do not have the intellectual capabilities of a child.

The War on Terrorism is so very simple it can be summed up like this:

They hate us and have killed some of us. In order to make them stop killing us we have to either kill them all or kill enough of them so that they won't try to kill us anymore.

That is what the War on Terrorism is about. Its not about Muslim-American relations, its not about killing Muslims or Arabs, its not about listening to CAIR, its not about giving the Palestinians a state (although that might help). Nine tenths of it is about fixing a major problem in a part of the world that can't fix it themselves so they leave it for us to do. The other tenth is about making sure that this sort of thing never ever happens again. Ever.

But liberals do not understand this because, well they are liberals after all. They don't get the fact that we have to take action against the people who attacked us. They don't get the fact that they attacked us. They don't get the fact that we retaliated to a large scale murder that took place in front of our stunned faces.

They think its about everything except for what it really is about. I have heard every reason under the sun about what happened on 9/11. Every conspiracy theory, every "The FBI did it!", every "The Jews did it!", every "The C.I.A. did it!", every "Bush knew it was going to happen!", every single reason except what actually happened.

Why can liberals not see what happened? Because it goes against major parts of their political tenets. Another part of it is that I think that they to where surprised and scared. The "pre-9/11" libs had spent their whole life attacking America and taking a podshot whenever they could. They where so used to thinking that America is the most evil thing in the world that many of them actually believed it. They took their own bait- hook, line and sinker. They showed themselves the proof. They believed it was more evil for America to accidentally execute innocent people on death row then for tens of thousands of Kurds and Shiites to either be subjected to chemical warfare that hadn't been seen in the Western world since WWI or just disappear. They believed it was more evil of America to allow poor people to live on the streets then for the Chinese and other Communist countries to force their poor people into strick hard labor camps or just killing them.

And the libs complain about American prisoners being given a job making $1.50 an hour making license plates and other rudimentary crafts!

The Libs had deluded themselves to a point where there was no other bad people in the world except for Americans.

Then 4 airplanes crashed in 2 hours. 2 airplanes deliberately smashed themselves into the World Trade Center. 1 plane deliberately slammed into the Pentagon. And 1 airplane missed its target because Americans decided to prevent more people from dying. They took it upon themselves to die in the place of the intended target.

I was not a lib on 9/11. I was barely interested in politics, but the libs on that day where faced with something that took their self-delusions and ripped them asunder like the worthless fabric that it was. They where faced with the idea that there was someone more evil then America on this planet. These little piddly things they organized protested, signed petitions, and yelled into bullhorns about where suddenly child's play compared to the willingness to commit suicide in order to kill that the hijackers showed on that day. The liberal idea of America as the sole evil was destroyed so utterly that they had to either face facts and acknowledge that America wasn't all that bad after all or delude themselves that much more intensely and with much more passion.

Sadly the average liberal chose the path of least resistance. They chose to roll over and say "Its not like we're any better. They are just like us, repressed until they lash out. That's all it was, they just lashed out."

They when back to sleep. And asleep they shall stay until something happen to trigger their alarm clock. What the trigger is I don't know, but at the rate that their passing through R.E.M sleep I don't know if I want to know or see it happen.

(I was planning to continue the post, but my itchy mouse finger clicked on Publish Post too soon.)

Liberals are also protesting their pants off because of the Iraq War. This is just another case of the Liberal not understanding why something is the way it is so they're trying to kill it.

Instead of taking off their clothes and riding around naked they should be wondering why they are protesting something that has deposed another dictator and fascist, freed more people then a stupid naked bike ride, and increased the number of representative governments by one. Instead of protesting they should be supporting it! Instead of embracing the Iraqi people they are snubbing their collective noses at them by saying to them basically "Your not worth Democracy. Your not worth our time."

Why are they doing that? Because they don't understand what is happening and when a human doesn't feel in control of the situation they do either one of two things:

They try to get back their control. Example: Napoleon converting the island that he was exiled on into his own private country.
They get angry and hostile and try to strike back in order to alleviate their discomfort.

The current day Libs are trying to do both and because of that they are doing neither well. They feel they have to get back their control of Washington in order to appease the unions, the business types, and the only slightly liberal part of their party. On the other hand they feel they have to attack because they have to appease the "Other" part of the Democratic Party. What is the "Other" you ask? They are the part that votes "Other" come Nov. 2. They vote for the Green Party, the Communist Party. Basically they're so liberal that they are liberals with a 42-point, capitalized, written in red, "L" in their political beliefs scorecard.

Until the Mainstream Democratic Party picks their side they will continue to go on the same road that they're going on. And if left unchecked Dr. Dean will be sure to push the party his way. (we all know which way that is!)

Today I was pondering why the Democrats are the way they are and I came up with this:

Liberals kill what they don't understand.

What do I mean by this? Well I'll give you an example;

The NRA. Liberals have been nashing their teeth over this group (and the ideas it stands for) for a very long time. The question that you have to ask isn't necessarily what are they doing, but more importantly why are they doing what they're doing?

Why are Liberals attacking an organization that supports the Constitution, seeks to allow the citizens of America to defend themselves how they best see fit, and to defend the right of firearms to exist as a means of self defense?

The conclusion that I've come to is that they just simply do not understand what it is so they're going to go kill it. They do not understand what NRA does or who they represent.

If you look at what a Liberal is attacking you will begin to see my point. The list of things that Liberals try (and sometimes succeed) to kill is long and varied, but here are a couple more examples;

In order for the Liberal position on all of these issues to make sense you have to drop all understanding about them. You can not consider Border Control to be a racist policy unless you do not understand what Border Control actually is. Border Control is just that, Border Control. If you see Border Control as racist, oppressive, or cruel then you do not understand what it is. And thus, the Liberal will attempt to kill it by taking away its funds, interfering with the people whose jobs it is to enforce the policy (I don't have a link to the story, but I remember a news piece about a group of people who planned to follow the Border Patrol and bang pots and pans together so the illegals would know that the Patrol was coming), and complaining about it via editorials, T.V. programs, and other miscellaneous news outlets.

The war of words with liberals isn't so much as converting them, but protecting the normal people around them from their ignorance.

GOP Chairman Walks Out of Meeting on PATRIOT Act

WASHINGTON -- The Republican chairman walked off with the gavel, leaving Democrats shouting into turned-off microphones at a raucous hearing Friday on the Patriot Act.

The House Judiciary Committee hearing, with the two sides accusing each other of being irresponsible and undemocratic, came as President Bush was urging Congress to renew those sections of the post-Sept. 11 counterterrorism law set to expire in September.

Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., chairman of the panel, abruptly gaveled the meeting to an end and walked out, followed by other Republicans. Sensenbrenner declared that much of the testimony, which veered into debate over the detainees at Guantanamo Bay, was irrelevant.

Wondering why a meeting goes into a debate over Gitmo? Well take a look at who was there:

Democrats asked for the hearing, the 11th the committee has held on the act since April, saying past hearings had been too slanted toward witnesses who supported the law. The four witnesses were from groups, including Amnesty International USA and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, that have questioned the constitutionality of some aspects of the act, which allows law enforcement greater authority to investigate suspected terrorists.

Democrats ask for the meeting about the PATRIOT Act and they bring Amnesty International with them?

What did the Republicans (spelling edited-MJ) think that was going to happen? Amnesty International hates Gitmo, wants it closed (or wants Bush sent there, because you know, there aren't any real terrorists there), and wants known terrorists freed!

Amnesty International is going over the edge faster then the Democratic Party. If the Dem's hope to get their good name back they have to break ties with these kinds of people.
